Consultation
The College has circulated a consultation document to alumni and friends which you can download here.
In his editorial for Goodenough News, the Director explained that the purpose of the document is to:
…help shape our future planning and development. Our goal is to ensure that the College continues to flourish so that future generations can benefit from the unique experience of living here. This requires us to reach a common understanding of our values, to reinforce our strengths and to address our weaknesses. Chief amongst the latter are the need to improve the quality of our buildings and facilities, and to ensure the College’s long term financial sustainability.
The circulation of this document comes at an important moment in the College’s history. Not only are we preparing to celebrate our 80th anniversary but we are also preparing for the most comprehensive refurbishment and modernisation programme ever undertaken by the College. This is an immensely exciting project which highlights the importance of sound and sustainable financial planning for this work and for our future security.
This Consultation Document marks the beginning of a new and greater engagement by the College with its alumni. I know that many of you care passionately about this wonderful institution and wish to be involved in its development. Your understanding of the opportunities and challenges that we face and your guidance and support in meeting them are vital to our future wellbeing.
