Goodenough College is delighted to have been selected to accommodate the participants in The Queen's Young Leaders programme. They will be staying at the College for the London sections of their one-week residential programme, which will include receiving their awards from The Queen.
Established by The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, in partnership with Comic Relief and The Royal Commonwealth Society, the Queen's Young Leaders programme recognises and celebrates exceptional people aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth who are taking the lead in their communities.
Goodenough College Director Andrew Ritchie says:
"It is an honour to host The Queen's Young Leaders during their stay in London. The Queen has been Patron of Goodenough College since 1952 and has visited regularly over the years, most recently in 2011 for our 80th Anniversary."
"We cherish our longstanding connections with the Commonwealth and are proud that over 50% of our Members come from the Commonwealth."
"We look forward to welcoming The Queen's Young Leaders into the Goodenough community and we are sure their time at the College will contribute to their experience and enjoyment of this important programme."
