This academic year's operatic offering will be two performances of "Too Hot to Handel" (originally devised and directed by College Member Emma Rivlin) on the evenings of 15 and 16 April 2015 in the Great Hall of London House.

For these performances, the College is delighted to be combining with the Armonico Consort – who are supplying the two leads and chamber orchestra - while the chorus will consist of College singers led by Member Christian Fohrby.

Too Hot to Handel is a hilarious - and at times deeply moving - romantic comic opera telling the tale of an `average Joe' who rescues a glamorous opera singer's beloved dog. They fall in love, but as the leading lady makes her way in the music business, this tale of 'boy meets girl' reveals that all's not fair in love and opera.

Running through the opera are some of Handel's most famous arias and duets and all who attend should be prepared for one or two surprises….

Tickets are £12 (£5 for Students and College Members) and may be booked via Eventbrite here.

Doors open at 7pm and the performance lasts from 7.30 - 9.30pm.
