Freddie’s, our onsite Café & Bar reopened this week following its refurbishment. Based in London House, Freddie’s was closed for three weeks this January and all at the College are thrilled with its new look, featuring a sleek mid-century modern style.
Freddie’s now complements the College’s new branding by adopting its signature colour teal, along with accents of neutral greys and textures to create a serene and chic place to eat, study and meet with friends. The space has been opened up, with more tables and chairs and comfortable sofas available for our Members and guests.
Director Andrew Ritchie officially reopened Freddie's, cutting the ribbon and welcoming staff and Members to enjoy lunch, drinks and a cake made especially for the occasion by the College's new pastry chef. In the evening College Members put on an opening night concert, and gathered to listen to the songs and music, sharing drinks and food. Major General Andrew Ritchie said "We are thrilled with the transformation of Freddie's and hope that our Members and guests continue to enjoy using the space. We are very pleased to be able to offer such comfortable surroundings for our residents and hope that our Alumni will also come back to see the new look Freddie's for themselves."
Lunch is served daily in Freddie’s, with a range of hot meals, a deli sandwich bar, salad bar and soup and jacket potato options. Freddie’s also offers coffee and snacks throughout the day, and a range of sharing platters and pizzas in the evening, as well as operating a fully licensed bar. Freddie’s now also offers a wide selection of board games to choose from, so our Members certainly won’t run out of things to do whilst enjoying the new space.
