Goodenough College is delighted to once again be providing accommodation to The Queen’s Young Leaders Programme during their residential week in London, from Thursday 16th to Sunday 26th June 2016.
The residential week involves the Young Leaders, drawn from 45 Commonwealth countries, in an intense series of high-level meetings and engagements designed to help them further their life-changing work. Their base for the week will be here in Goodenough College.
Her Majesty The Queen, who is also the Patron of Goodenough College, will be presenting The Young Leaders with their Awards at a special ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
Goodenough College Director Andrew Ritchie said:
“We are honoured to host The Queen’s Young Leaders for the second year running. We’re exceedingly proud of our patronage by The Queen and it is wonderful that the College and The Queen's Young Leaders Programme can continue to work together, particularly during The Queen’s 90th birthday year.”
“The Young Leaders Programme is strengthening the skills of the Young Leaders to help them continue to change the lives of those around them and inspire the next generation of young leaders. Those aims are consistent with the ethos of Goodenough College too. Furthermore, half of our Members come from the Commonwealth so the Young Leaders will be in excellent company during their stay with us.”
