TEDxGoodenoughCollege 2016: Breaking Boundaries

On Saturday 21st May, Goodenough College will host its 6th TEDxGoodenoughCollege event in the historic Great Hall of London House. The theme for this year’s event is Breaking Boundaries.

Goodenough College wishes Patron Queen Elizabeth a very happy 90th birthday

Thursday 21st April marked Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday. All at Goodenough College were thrilled to mark the occasion by holding a Thanksgiving Service for their Patron in the London House Chapel followed by celebratory drinks in the Cloisters.

On Monday 14th March, Goodenough College Members and staff were invited to Westminster Abbey for The Commonwealth Service 2016, in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, and Goodenough College Patron.

At the beginning of March, Goodenough College hosted a conference on Diversity, Pluralism and the Future of Citizenship in partnership with the Trudeau Foundation, which formed part of the College’s Transnationalism Week.

Bloomsbury Opera: "The Bear" is a great success

Goodenough College’s annual opera was once again a resounding success, as Members produced and performed in William Walton’s “The Bear”.

The Opera is coming again to Goodenough College with "The Bear" composed by William Walton, being performed in the Great Hall of London House at 8pm on Thursday 18th and Saturday 20th February 2016. The production will be directed and performed by Members of the College.

Freddie's reopens after refurbishment

Freddie’s, our onsite Café & Bar reopened this week following its refurbishment. Based in London House, Freddie’s was closed for three weeks this January and all at the College are thrilled with its new look, featuring a sleek mid-century modern style.

Goodenough College Publishes Annual Review 2014/15

An enduring relationship with Barclays Bank

Barclays Bank has celebrated its enduring relationship with Goodenough College at an event and in a new video which highlights the legacy and achievements of Frederick Craufurd Goodenough (1866-1934), Chairman of Barclays Bank, who founded the College and was its first Chairman.

Goodenough College is delighted to be involved with The Patron's Lunch on June 12th 2016 in The Mall, to celebrate The Queen's patronage of over 600 charities and organisations on the occasion of her 90th birthday.

The College Remembers Karolina Gluck and Other Victims of the 7/7 Bombings

The College held a short service of remembrance today, July 7th, for Karolina Gluck (1976-2005) and the other victims of the 7/7 bombings. Karolina was a member of staff at the College who lost her life in the Russell Square bombing. The service was held in the Mecklenburgh Square Garden by the tree planted in her memory.
