Sport at Goodenough College

Goodenough College is home to an active sporting community, with sports teams playing both organised and informal matches in and around London.

For example, the soccer team plays in an eight-a-side midweek league on an all-weather pitch adjacent to the College. Our cricket team has regular fixtures against Oxford and Cambridge Colleges, plays in some of the most picturesque villages around London and even practises at Lords! The running club caters for both fun and competition runners, from 10km and half-marathon races to taking part in the London Marathon.

Members are also entitled to reduced rates at the Nuffield Health Club in the basement of London House. It has a swimming pool, large gymnasium, aerobics studio, squash courts, steam, sauna and therapy rooms. There is also a tennis court in the private garden in Mecklenburgh Square for Members’ use. During the summer, Members can play the traditional British game of croquet on the lawn of the London House Quad.
