Despite not being a teaching college, Goodenough was awarded “Best Learning Environment” in the 2014 National Student Housing Survey.

As well as boasting an active, academic community, we also have several facilities to help you with your studies as a Member of Goodenough College.

On-site Libraries

Our Members value the quiet and comfortable study environment available at the two Libraries on site. Both are open 24 hours a day and we have a full-time Librarian who looks after the libraries’ collections and provides help and advice. The collections cover every aspect of the arts, humanities and sciences and allow Members to read widely across their own and other disciplines. The diversity of the collections reflects the interests of Alumni and donors.

Art Room

The College provides a dedicated Art Room that can be booked for free by Members, and has proven to be a popular resource amongst the College's creative community. The College celebrates the artistic endeavours of our Members every year during Art Week, where our members put on free exhibitions of their own work.

Media Rooms

London House and William Goodenough House each have a dedicated media room for Members to use. Each is equipped with computers, printers and photocopiers.

Music Practice Rooms

We have several dedicated music practice rooms, each equipped with a piano that can be booked for free by Members.  Additionally, the Great Hall, Chapel and several Common Rooms have grand pianos. The musical life of the College is very rich with rehearsals, concerts and solo performances.
