Commemorative Biennium

Two significant anniversaries in one celebratory period.

We have an exciting couple of years ahead:

  • 2020 is the 90th anniversary of the signing of the founding document for The Dominions Students’ Hall Trust which is Goodenough College today.
  • 2021 is the 70th anniversary of the inauguration of the Lord Mayor’s National Fund for Thanksgiving which helped complete the foundation of the College through the building of William Goodenough House.

We have therefore combined these two major anniversaries into one celebratory period called the Commemorative Biennium. Taking place across two academic years to include both new cohorts of Members, it runs from Founders’ Day 3 October 2019, to Founders’ Day 4 October 2021. These milestones represent a fantastic opportunity to celebrate everything that makes Goodenough College so unique and special to our Members, Alumni and partners.

We’d love everyone to join in wherever possible.

We’ll be updating this page as we progress, with exciting updates and events. In the meantime:

Programme of Events

Due to COVID-19, all face to face events at Goodenough College have been postponed until further notice. In place of the usual events programme the College and Members have been working together to deliver a rich and imaginative programme of online events, study sessions, and pastoral support.
