Board Members step up to support Appeal

Every member of Goodenough College’s Board of Trustees has made a donation to Goodenough College’s COVID-19 Member Support Appeal, contributing over £15,000 towards the target £75,000.

Eric Tracey, Chairman of the Board, comments: “It’s a magnificent result and testimony to the Board’s commitment to the College and its Members. I’d like to thank all of my fellow Board members and also all of our Alumni and friends who have also generously supported the Appeal to date. Collectively, we have now raised a fantastic £47,500 – 63% of our overall £75,000 target.”

Almost 370 Members from the College’s international community remain onsite, unable to return home because of border closures, the catastrophic spread of COVID-19, or the need to stay and protect loved ones.

While the College remains home for these Members, many are struggling financially, having lost their jobs or teaching work and in some cases even their scholarships. Donations to the Appeal will help Members in need to access:

  • Emergency financial assistance through the Mecklenburgh Fund – giving those in need help to pay their bills, buy food and other essential items
  • A vital Student Assistance Service – providing face to face, telephone and online counselling; debt and financial advice and other resources

To help the College to reach the £75,000 target please consider contributing a donation via our JustGiving page or through tax efficient giving options.

Please donate now to help us reach our target and support Members in need!
