IHWW Scholarship Programme achieves top rating

As part of International Houses Worldwide (IHWW), we are extremely proud to have been named as winner in the Championing Diversity category of the PIEoneer Awards.

IHWW won for the International Houses Worldwide Scholarship Programme. This programme was created to enable talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds to study in the UK, USA or Australia through subsidised or free accommodation scholarships and food bursaries.

Goodenough College is an active member of IHWW, which is an affiliation of 17 International Houses from across the continents. All united by one mission: to provide students of different nationalities and diverse cultures with the opportunity to live and learn together in a community of mutual respect, understanding and international friendship.

Rebecca Matthews, Goodenough College Director, said:

Goodenough College is extremely proud to be a part of the winning team recognised internationally at the PIEoneer Awards 2019. We have been at the forefront of initiatives to increase diversity through our own efforts independently – as well as under the IHWW banner – collaborating with other IHWW member organisations. It is therefore extremely gratifying that the College’s Scholarship and Bursary schemes have been formally recognised. We look forward to continuing our endeavours to ensure that Goodenough College remains diverse and open to all in future years.

The winners were announced at the PIEoneer Awards 2019 glamorous Awards ceremony and dinner held at London’s prestigious Guildhall. In attendance on the night were staff from IHWW member organisations International Student House and Goodenough College, including some of our very own Members who were also invited on stage to receive the Award.
