Alumnus wins Pride of Britain Award for disability charity work
The College is proud to announce that Alumnus John Willis has won a Pride of Britain Award. John, who is the founder of disability and inclusion charity Power2Inspire, was presented with his award, for fundraiser of the year for the West of Anglia region, on 15 September.

Goodenough College is pleased to announce that it has received Platinum Certification and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of +66 for its accommodation in this year’s Global Student Living Index (GSLI) – as well as being shortlisted for the 2023 Best Specialist Housing (UK and Ireland) award.

Goodenough Fellow plays a role in the Coronation
Goodenough Fellow Dr Grahame Davies, was pleased to play a role in the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. Grahame wrote the lyrics to the song, ‘Sacred Fire’, with music by Sarah Class, which was performed by the great South African soprano Pretty Yende, accompanied by The Coronation Orchestra under the baton of Sir Antonio Pappano.

Renovation of 43-47 Mecklenburgh Square
Goodenough College is planning to renovate five Grade 2 historic houses (43-47 Mecklenburgh Square) next to William Goodenough House. The work will improve the fabric of the buildings, increase their life and respect their important place in Bloomsbury’s literary and academic heritage.

Alumna’s tribute to Virginia Woolf, former resident of Mecklenburgh Square
Goodenough College has one bedroom dedicated to Virginia Woolf (who lived in a house on the site of William Goodenough House). Each year the room is allocated to a literary student and they arrive to find a copy of "A room of one’s own" on their bedside table.
