Hotel, short-stay and sublet accommodation

We are always delighted when members of our Alumni community book to stay at the College when they come to visit London. If you are considering a trip in the future, there are a range of options on offer, including the Goodenough Hotel London, as well as short-stay and sabbatical rooms/suites inside the College itself. Because availability and rates vary considerably according to the time of year and number of vacant rooms, we recommend that you contact our Reservations team to find out more and to book your stay.  They can be contacted on  +44 (0) 20 7837 8888 or reservations@goodenough.ac.uk.

As an Alum, there is a discount when booking any of these options, and, because we are a charity, when you book direct all profits from your stay at the Hotel or in College will go towards providing Members with our unique learning experience, as well as supporting our scholarships programme.  To obtain the Alumni discount code please email alumni@goodenough.ac.uk before booking.

Hotel bookings – securing the best possible discount

We are delighted to announce that a new Alumni rate has been introduced for The Goodenough Hotel and the Goodenough College Short Stay accommodation for 2026 and beyond. Alumni will now receive 10% off all direct-booking rates, including our deepest promotions and sales. This new rate ensures that we are giving our Alumni guests the very best available market rate – and now beating third-party pricing.

For instance, during our current 3-for-2 offer, Alumni can still enjoy an extra 10% off the already discounted price. Even during peak periods with fewer promotions, the 10% alumni discount will remain available.

Using the sublets scheme

Another possible option is renting a room directly from a current Member.  Apart from Members’ friends and family, the sublets scheme is exclusively available to our Alumni community and is a very cost effective way to stay in central London, whilst also helping out the Members directly.  All current sublet listings are available to view by signing up to our online Alumni site Goodenough Global. Once you have registered, the details can be found under the ‘Alumni Accommodation’ tab and the list is updated regularly, so it’s worth checking back to see if your dates come up.

Sabbatical Fellowships

The College offers accommodation each academic year to a small number of Sabbatical Fellows for periods from three to twelve months. These may be visiting academics at London institutions, post-doctoral Research Fellows or other specialist academic researchers. Accommodation is provided in one-bedroom flats or double ensuite rooms, and rents are set according to ability to pay. Those successfully applying for places as Sabbatical Fellows are selected because they add real interest and value to our community during their residence. Some come to the College through our established partnerships with global academic institutions. Others simply approach us direct. While in residency, Sabbatical Fellows are eligible to participate in – and, importantly, asked to contribute as appropriate to – Member activities, including the Dean’s Programme.
