It is owned by Goodenough College, a community of international postgraduate students in Bloomsbury, London, who are regular visitors to The Burn.

The Burn is currently seeking a new Chair for its oversight committee, who would also serve as a Trustee of Goodenough College and as a member of the College Board with a particular interest in Scottish affairs.

About the role:
• Challenge and assist the College leadership in the delivery of the activities of the Burn estate.
• Provide guidance on development of the estate to meet its sustainable business model objective.
• Attend quarterly Goodenough College Board meetings and chair twice-yearly Burn Committee meetings.
• Provide Scottish-specific advice to the Board and senior College team on operational management of the Burn estate.

Person specification:
• Senior strategic level and Scottish specific experience gained from sectors such as historic buildings, woodland management, higher education, income generation, Scottish government affairs, hospitality, and charity governance.
