IT Engineer

We are looking for an IT Engineer to join our small but committed IT team providing desktop, server, network and phone support for the College’s staff and students. This will provide you with an exposure to a broad range of IT and communication disciplines.

The post holder will be involved in providing effective IT assistance and advice, delivering user support and trouble-shooting issues as they arise.  Other duties include undertaking IT projects; planning, testing and implementing configuration changes and firmware upgrades to existing Cisco and Netgear switches; and troubleshooting wifi and printer issues.

We are looking for someone who is customer focused, a good communicator and supportive of other colleagues and students with varying levels of IT knowledge. To succeed in the role you will need to be organised, with the ability to be flexible and juggle competing priorities. You will also need to enjoy working within a team and collaborating with other departments across the College.  A keen interest in new technologies and applications would be beneficial.
