Goodenough College is an educational charity, providing accommodation to international postgraduate students and their families in a friendly and collegiate setting. Located in the heart of Bloomsbury, Goodenough College, is also a Grade 2* listed venue, offering nine event spaces each with a personality of their own. These range from oak panelled walls and high vaulted ceilings to an outdoor space perfect for summer receptions and team building events. The income generated from these hires support the College in achieving its charitable aims, one of which is to widen its access to reach those from lower income backgrounds and countries to increase its socio-economic diversity by offering financial support and scholarships.

The College seeks a Sales and Events Manager to join its commercial venue hire team in delivering efficient and professional event planning services to support external, internal and College meetings and events. In this role, you will promote our venue spaces by handling enquiries, conducting site visits, providing quotes and tailored information to prospective clients. You will support the Head of Conferencing and Events in enhancing the College’s profile through networking, benchmarking, and the continuous improvement of our offerings. Additionally, you will manage event diaries and the issuance of contracts and invoices for confirmed bookings.

Applicants should have relevant sales, events planning, and delivery experience gained in an events or hospitality environment. You should have good attention to detail, ability to problem solve and juggle multiple responsibilities. We expect you to be a confident user of MS Office packages and be familiar with diary management using a specialised event database.

In return you will be working in a friendly and supportive environment in a beautiful historic central London setting. We offer a salary of £40,000 per annum, 25 days’ annual leave with additional days at Christmas, pension, free meal when working on site, employee social events and the opportunity to attend the College’s student events and be part of the vibrant and diverse community.
