Our Events business is seeking an experienced Sales and Events Manager to join its commercial events team. This is an exciting time to join our team as it relaunches from Goodenough Events & Venue Hire to Goodenough House this spring.

Goodenough House is a trading subsidiary of Goodenough College, an education charity that provides accommodation to international postgraduate students and their families in a friendly and collegiate setting. The income generated from our events business supports the College in achieving its charitable aims one of which is to widen its access to reach those from lower income backgrounds and countries to increase its socio-economic diversity by offering financial support and scholarships.

Located in the heart of Bloomsbury our Grade II* venue offers eight unique and characterful event spaces. Already delivering in the region of 300 external events, our growing events business hosts a diverse range of events including: meetings, conferences, fine dining, networking receptions, BBQ’s, filming, fashion shows and weddings.

In this role you will promote the venue to prospective clients, conduct site visits, provide tailored information about the spaces and deliver timely quotes. You will also be responsible for professional and effective event planning, followed by oversight of on-the-day event delivery for external and internal events.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has excellent time management skills, is familiar with diary management and has prior experience of working in a commercial event environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience working in venue hire sales, event planning and delivery.

In return you will be working in a friendly and supportive environment in a beautiful historic central London setting. We offer a salary of £38,000 per annum, 25 days’ annual leave with additional days at Christmas, pension, free meal when working on site, employee social events and the opportunity to attend the College’s internal events and be part of the vibrant and diverse community.
