Alex Acland

Alex is a Managing partner at Odgers Berndtson’s UK Education Practice. He leads the Education Practice in the UK and is the Chair of the Global Education Practice, that brings together consultants in the USA, Canada, UK, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Japan and Australia.

Based in London, he has worked in education since 2001.  He has 25 years’ successful experience in the recruitment industry.  He re-joined Odgers Berndtson in January 2016 after eight years with another international search firm, where he led the Education & Social Enterprise Practice in Europe.  He leads on vice-chancellor, chief executive, senior academic and functional director appointments as well as board level roles across the education sector, supporting clients as they build high performing organisations and leadership teams.  He advises a wide range of clients encompassing universities, business schools, colleges and EdTech firms.

Alex has a Bachelor of Divinity from the University of Edinburgh.
