Goodenough College is home to an active sporting community. We have a number of sporting teams which play both organised and informal matches in and around London.
The soccer team plays in an 8-a-side midweek league on an all-weather pitch adjacent to the College. Sporting activities can take Members further afield. Our cricket team has regular fixtures against Oxford and Cambridge Colleges and also plays in some of the most picturesque villages around London. The running club caters for both fun and competition runners. In addition to entering shorter 10km and half-marathon races, up to 15 Members each year take part in the London Marathon.
Members are also entitled to reduced rates at the Nuffield Health Club in the basement of London House. It has a swimming pool, large gymnasium, aerobics studio, squash courts and therapy rooms. There is also a tennis court in the private garden in Mecklenburgh Square which Members are able to use.

We have over 50 different Member run Sports and Dance Clubs and Societies, which are funded by the College. If there is not a Club which you would like to join, we will help you create your own.
In the Summer months, Members can play Croquet on the lawn of the London House Quad. A traditional British game, it is one of the things our Alumni remember most fondly from their time at the College.
We have two tennis courts in private Mecklenburgh Square Garden, which can be rented out by Members for a small fee. Tennis rackets and tennis balls are also available for you to borrow.
