Leaving a gift in your Will
Leaving a gift in your Will is a powerful way to support the College. Never has it been more important to provide a community where the world’s best and brightest students can learn from each other, regardless of nationality or socio-economic background.
You can choose to remember the College generally in your Will: unrestricted legacy gifts enable us to allocate funds where they will be needed most. Your bequest will help future generations meet the requirements of their time.
Alternatively, you might wish to direct your Legacy towards a specific purpose such as establishing a Scholarship or contributing to a building project. Priorities do change over time and so we recommend that you contact Hannah Du Gray, Director of Development and External Relations, to discuss your preferences. We want to work with you to make sure we can carry out your wishes effectively.
If you have already made a Will, and simply wish to add a beneficiary to it, you can do so by means of a codicil. We have created a codicil with suggested wording which can be used by you or your solicitor to amend your existing Will to make a legacy gift to Goodenough College.
If you would like to update a Will you can download our codicil below
Your donation will ensure that those most deserving will be allowed the same opportunities that you enjoyed as a valued Member of the Goodenough community.
The College provided an excellent foundation for the formative years of my career. It allowed me to complete my academic studies while interacting with an amazingly talented group of people … Since retiring, after a fruitful career, I am in a position to realise what a privileged opportunity I had … With this in mind I decided to help someone less fortunate than me to have access to these same opportunities by leaving a Legacy gift to the College in my Will. I felt this would be a good way of giving something back.
