College awarded Platinum Certification in the 2024 Global Student Living Index

Global Student Living introduced certification in 2023 and the College is delighted to have been awarded Platinum Certification in 2023 and again in 2024.

Only eight residences achieved Platinum status in 2024. This top certification is based on meeting the highest threshold in every one of seven areas that make up the Global Student Living (GSL) Index score: structural scores (Internet, Condition and Quality, Bedroom, Value for Money) and operational scores (Care and Support, Recycling and Environmental Facilities, and Overall Management).

Overall the College achieved a GSL Index Score of 85.1 out of 100.

96% described Goodenough College as very good or good compared to an average of 79% across the private student halls sector as a whole.

94% rated the opportunity for social interaction good or very good, compared to an average of 66% across the rest of the student accommodation sector. 89% said they had positive relationships with other residents, and appreciated the availability of communal spaces.

90% said the staff were friendly and approachable, and 92% said that living at Goodenough College had a positive impact on their overall wellbeing.
