Farewell to Sir Christopher Wates

Trustees, staff and residents of Goodenough College were saddened to hear of the death of Sir Christopher Wates on 22 September 2024. We extend our deepest condolences to his family.

As a former Trustee and Chair of the Goodenough College Board and, subsequently, College Governor and President of the College’s Advisory Council, Sir Christopher was well-known to the College community. He is remembered as an energetic and respected contributor to the College’s governance team and an outstanding supporter of the College’s charitable objectives. He will be missed by the Goodenough community.
