In September 2026 we opened the five restored and refurbished Georgian terrace houses on Mecklenburgh Square and welcomed our first Members into the new rooms. We only achieved this plan with the help our Alumni, Friends and Supporters all around the world. Thank you.
The success of the campaign has enabled 68 more talented postgraduates to join our community each year, to strengthen our reach and respond to demand. The restored houses offer a mix of bedroom types to attract the widest range of students and ensure that cost is not a barrier for people.

Room to Grow project
The Room to Grow project has allowed the College to renovate five Grade II historic houses at 43-47 Mecklenburgh Square

“The opening of 43–47 Mecklenburgh Square is a moment of enormous pride for Goodenough College. My thanks go to the many supporters whose gifts, large and small, have helped bring this vision to life.
"On a personal note, it has been a tremendous honour to support this project. Goodenough College means a great deal to me personally, and contributing to the future of this remarkable community has been deeply rewarding.”
Jonathan Fitzgerald, College Trustee / Chair of the Room to Grow campaign
