We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to provide interim support for 6 months to the College Financial Accounting.
You will be responsible for the management of Financial Administration and Financial Accounting, reporting to the Head of Finance, for the College. You will be a key technical accountant for the College taking responsibility for the production of the Financial Statements. You will ensure that the College Financial administration is carried out to an excellent standard and that all regular and annual reporting is accurate and timely and is carried out in a manner that promotes the trust and professional image of the finance team and College to its staff, members, Governors and supporters. You will provide support to the Head of Finance to ensure that the key profit centres and outsourced activities of the College have sufficient financial business support to promote the achievement of their targets, commercial success and development. You will also be supporting the team of 3 Finance Officers with the management of all transactional, banking, payment and receipting services. You will work with the Head of Finance, to assist in the production of the annual draft budget to the highest standard and ensure the appropriate tools for financial management against the budget are in place for the Director of Finance & External Resources.
The successful candidate will be well organised, personable and approachable, showing initiative and sufficiently robust to meet the demands of working to the highest standard against tight, sometimes coinciding deadlines whilst maintaining an appropriate work life balance.
