Estates Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

Goodenough College is seeking an efficient and organised Estates Coordinator to provide maternity cover for up to 12 months. Reporting to the Head of Estates, you will support the smooth running of the busy Estates office's day to day operations.

Goodenough College provides a variety of accommodation options from shared single rooms, ensuite rooms and family flats, alongside grand halls, libraries, and common rooms. Additionally, the College owns the nearby 4* Goodenough Hotel.

The College is seeking an Estates Coordinator to provide maternity cover for up to 12 months. Reporting to the Head of Estates, you will support the smooth running of the Estates office day to day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage departmental budgets, track expenditure and produce monthly financial reporting, variance analysis and support the annual budget planning process
  • Manage purchase orders, validate payment claims, and liaise with suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies
  • Oversee procurement processes such as prepare tender documents
  • Manage, monitor and report on energy usage and liaise with utility providers
  • Support Health & Safety initiatives and audits including arranging training
  • Manage the CAFM system and help desk task allocation
  • Line manage the Estates Administrator by providing daily guidance, training and performance management

Person Specification:

  • Extensive experience in budget management and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of procurement and supplier management
  • Understanding of energy monitoring and utility billing
  • Knowledge of H&S procedures and managing audits and inspections
  • Experience in scheduling PPM, cyclical maintenance and reactive works
  • Proficient in CAFM systems and help desk functions in relation to Estates management
  • Strong MS Office knowledge with high working proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in line management

The College is offering a salary of £36,000 per annum pro rata, 25 days annual leave pro rata, additional two days at Christmas and a free meal when working on site.
