“My time at Goodenough has boosted my confidence and shaped both my personal and professional journey in ways I never imagined.”

I’m originally from Nigeria and currently studying Pharmaceutical Formulation and Entrepreneurship at UCL. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, innovation and ambition have always been part of my story.

Living at Goodenough College has been an incredible experience. The international community here is full of talented, driven individuals from around the world. Being part of such an inspiring environment constantly motivates me to aim higher. I’m also proud to live in such a historic and beautiful building – spaces like The Churchill Room and the Great Hall, where many College events are held, are truly special.

Goodenough has opened doors to exceptional networking opportunities. I organised two Port Talks, one delivered by a professor and the other by an entrepreneur. I also invited another professor as a guest at a Faculty Dinner. The Dean and his programme have also been exceptional in expanding my networking opportunities, helping me connect with inspiring leaders and professionals. These experiences have helped me build meaningful academic connections that I’ll carry with me throughout my career.

My time here has been transformational – not just academically, but personally. Goodenough has given me many opportunities to step into leadership roles and shift my mindset from being a planner to becoming a doer. I still remember a conversation with a fellow Member, when I just joined the College, who was wholeheartedly encouraging me to start my own club. And then, I ended up running three: the Chess Club, Stand Up Comedy Club, and Debate Club.

Interacting with exceptional students from top universities, as well as distinguished guests – including experts in various fields and even members of the Royal Family—has boosted my confidence and shaped my personal and professional journey in ways I never imagined.
